My Training:
I Was Taught By Three True Legends Of Kentland Engine-33 And All Three Were Chief Officers Jerry Griswold-Jeff Pittsenburger-Jimmy Wells.
These Three Chiefs Were The Only Real Chiefs That Would Serve In Kentland Engine-33 Durning The Hardest Years Of The Departments History, After These Dedicated Chief's No Other Chiefs Could Keep Up The Tradition Of The Past Three Chiefs And Kentland Would Soon Fall Into The Normal Typical Fire Department. Today KentLand Has Seen So Much Change From Total Poverty To Now Being A Very Upscale Area Where Kentland Was Once Doing 30-40 Runs A Day To Averaging Only 10 Calls A Day Today And The Fire Activity In The Area Is Gone.
95% Percent Of The Fires Kentland Goes To Today Are Out Of Their First Due And Without The Medic Locals Kentland Would Drop Even Lower On Their Runs Of Only 4,000 Calls In 2007 With Three Engines A Tower Ladder And A Mini Pumper.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
Being a 14 Year Old Homeless Kid I Was Taken In By The Fire Department And Raised By The Fireman. In Exchange For Living At The Firehouse I Would Do Chores And Go To School And Would Dedicate The Rest Of My Life To The Fire Department.
I Have Spent 30 Years At Kentland Engine Company-33 In Prince George's County,Maryland. I Hold The Record For Being The Busiest Fireman In The Nation With Over 120,000 Runs In 30 Years And Kentland Engine-33 From The 1980's-1990's Was The Worlds Busiest Engine Company.
I Averaged 4,000 Runs A Year With 1990 Being My Busiest Year Ever With 6,295 Runs. In 2005 The Book I Wrote On My Probie Years At Kentland Engine-33 Was Released And Is Now Avaible In All Major BookStores
The Book Is Titled " Probie Days" Author Is Jerry Engle.
It Is A Look How A Homeless Kid Would Go On To Become A Legend And Be Responsible For Putting Kentland Engine-33 On The Map Worldwide.
I Hold The Most Runs Ever Recorded In Kentland History And Also Hold The Most Heroism Awards Then Any Other Fireman In Kentland History With Over 20 Awards For Heroism.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
