Thanks Jerry!  NC has made some changes to our certifications.  Before there was a firefighter 1 and a firefighter 2.  Now they have done away with them and it will be one title.  So now I am required to have all the 1 and 2 classes completed by 01/2015.  Having a full time job being a volunteer FF, don't know if I will be able to complete all of them in one year.  Wish me luck!

Good Morning Jerry. It's actually Commissioner. Recruitment seems to be the "Monster" of all departments. I live in a rural community now, but in the past I've been a member of departments that had 250-275 members. It always seemed as if there was an influx of younger guys/girls looking for some excitement. It's a tough nut. I'll need a little time to get back to you.
