My Training:
Currently I am only certified as a first responder and am a firefighter with in house training only, but plan to get my FF1 and FF2 very soon.
About Me:
In a year and a half I have seen a lot of crazy stuff. I know that there are no text book calls, but lord almighty these ain't your normal calls. We have had house explosions, LP explosions, One massive 3 county flood, and I could go on and on. Less than 3 months into my probation time I saw my first DB and I knew right there and then why I am doing this. To help those who have a chance and to help those who need the help to have a chance. I want to do all I can to keep from having to see that again. Since my time is still very little I will add more as I experiance it.
Day Job:
Dietary Aide

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
Its a long time standing family tradition. I have grown up watching my grandfather run out the door to help others in the community and always wanted to experiance the same feeling. I am also a very caring person and try to find every way possible to help others around me in need. I have also been very inspired by others around me and have had personal encounters with my department in my time of need as well.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
The adrenalin and the thought that I a mhelping others in their time of need. And the closeness of the department.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
There are many and right now its a personal thing for my department and its not having enough personnel to do the job that needs to be done. There are always volunteers, but the problem is how many of them truly want to be doing it. We have the problem of 20 members, but only a few responding to a call or just putting their time in at the station when things need to be done.
