Hi Brandon,    Hope all is well with you? Congrats, on taking the first steps to joining the brotherhood. Take advantage of each and every training opportunity that comes along. Remember that you can never train too much.Training means not just doing it, till you get it right; it means doing it until you don't get it wrong! Always ask questions, this is how you learn. Find the time to hit the books. Subscribe to publications, such as Fire Engineering, Fire Rescue,or Firehouse magazine. They are a wealth of knowledge. Join organizations such as your state's fire association and National Volunteer Fire Council. They are also valuable as many offer training seminars, advocate for your rights, and even provide accidental death and/or dismemberment insurance policies.It will be hard at times the training, but it's all good. This is serious business, all this training will come into play one day,and many times throughout your career. The point of it is to try to save lives, including that of your own and your brothers and sisters whom you are entrusted. I wish you the best of luck. Take care!
