I was working over time on Ladder Co.1 on 4th of July night 2009 when around midnight a still box came in for smoke coming from a vacant house on Vireo Ave. 1st due Engine-4 arrived with heavy smoke an fire showing from the first floor of a 2 story vacant dwelling. 2 lines were stretched to the fire floor, truck members opened up, searches were negative. Fire went under control in about 20 minutes.
