Started my training as an industrial medical nurse and went thru with EMT courses paid for by the Doctor(s)I worked with. I also received x-ray tech training and LVN training thru the sponsorship of the MD couple I worked with.
About Me:
I was placed in an industrial clinic inside
The ARCO/CASTROL Medical Dept. in 1994. Been there since and moving thru the department and currently operations/firefighter. I receive monthly department and Tex A&M fire school training every other year.
Day Job:
Operations/Firefighter
Relationship Status:
Divorced
Why I Joined Fire/EMS
Was offered to join the fire department thru my medical background at work. Something I enjoy. Truly love to help people, community.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
It's in my blood.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
Industrial firefighting specifically: hydrocarbons, chemical and almost always in SCBA. Pipes and tanks which may not be labeled next to a pressurized gas fire. Tactics, game plan change, and always obstructions. Very little action until shit hits the fan. Lots and
lots of training.
