About Me:
I do fundraisers, Trainings, classes, and try to be there to learn. I try my best to be around the firehouse on meetings, trainings, and worknights. I'm looking forward to possibly taking firefighting essentials and hopefullly soon i'll be taking my EMT. I enjoy every minute of being there and wouldn't change anything about it. I dont get the chance to run many Fire calls but I do run EMS more than fire. My first EMS call was for a possible heart attck, i was nervous, but I did learn a lot just from that one call. One thing being not to rush on any call and stay calm. lol. The firefighters in my company are very outgoing and love to joke around and laugh, but when the tones drop, they turn to serious in a flash. I hope that I can go further in the medical services when i'm older too.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I became a Volunteer Firefighter when i was 14 because it sounded like something i would like to do. It takes physical endurance and courage and that was something i thought i should work on, plus I like to help people out. I joined my ambulance squad when i turned 16 because that also just seemed like something I would like to do and I could help more people.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
Helping people and challenging myself to be better.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
Many people aren't very physically fit, and that hinders their performance in the field. I've heard companies argueing over an open mic on who's juresdiction the call is in and wasting time. Fire companies and ambulance companies not getting along in the feild and I think eventhough you're not thinking when packing up on the trucks for a call, it would be wise to put on aseat belt, they are in the trucks for a reason. You cant help anyone if you get hurt along the way.
