About Me:
i'm 33 years old, happily married to a fellow fire fighter, which makes life interesting to say the least,i've only been in the service for approx 6 1/2 years. i have 3 uncles(1 has 31 yrs,the other 26 yrs service) and my brother who are also involved with the service, they have all been trying to get me to join for many many years so i finally bit the bullet and joined ther service, something i wish i done earlier now.The service i refer to is the New South Wales Rural Fire Service which has approx 68,000 active members across the state, which we are led to believe is the biggest fire service in the world!!.
my full time paid job is Branch Superviser for a steel company, OneSteel P/L in Gosford about 40 mins from home and fire station, so i only respond after hours and weekends, unless we have big/or major calls, then either i leave work to releave crews if needed or do not attend work(it helps to have a boss that lives in the bush,he knows what could happen)
