About Me:: I joined my volunteer department in high school after a few of my buddy's talked me into it. I got into and realized this was the career I wanted to pursue. I tested at E-town twice after I graduated and was hired in as a firefighter at age 19 and would only leave here for one other job.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS: I felt like joining the department was a way for me to give back to the community that I've been raised in and being able to give something back.
Why I Love Fire/EMS: I enjoy helping others and the adrenaline rush that you get everytime the engine rolls out of the station.
Top Issues Facing Responders:: Budget cuts are a topic of any career or volunteer department in my area. On the volunteer side I feel that a lack of interest and dedication are hurting the abilities due to lack of new recruits.
