Well, I am not the youngest on my department, by a long shot, as I started my career later in life. After my kids were older and able to handle the shift schedule alittle better.
I am a competitive Powerlifter and compete at the International level. So when I am not at the station I am one of two places -- the gym or working with my Boxer puppy.
Well, wanted to be a medic, but fell in love with firefighting during rookie class. Always love helping people -- and the adrenaline rush ain't to bad either. LOL I love the family type atmosphere in the fire service as well as structure.
Thanx for the add.

Hi Malinda-Just read your profile. You caught my interest when you said you still power lift. How is that going for you? I used to lift when I was younger, but growing up I was a bit hard on my body and I'm paying for it now. Can't lift any where near what I once was capable of doing. But I still stay active with the sport-more so as a spectator and assisting the younger guys on my department with their lifting. I'm also the PT for my department. I would be interested in hearing what you do for your workouts.
Take care and stay safe!!!
