Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I am the type of person who likes to help other people when they need it. When ever I saw people who needed help I always wanted to help but didn't know how so I started my career in Fire/EMS.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
meeting the best people in the world on the worst day of their life.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
I think that one of the biggest problems facing first responders comes from the volunteer department. One of the biggest problems in the volunteer department is getting people motivated and dedicated to their volunteer commitment. It seems that people want to be on the department but then want to decide when the pager goes off whether or not they want to respond to the call. The other problem is getting the dedication from volunteers to become active in training.
And of course money is always an issue. You never have enough for what you really NEED and even less for what you WANT. And then making the decision between NEEDS and WANTS.

    Rahn,

Do you have the Program and Interface cable to program a Motorola M1225 Radio? Steve D. provided me one for the IMT use but it came from Bozeman and has a bunch of their chanles and only one Madison County Freq.

    Thanks in advance.

    Rahn,
Now that I know you are from the Great State of Montana, give Tom Wood the Chief up in Libby a call. He has a great volunteer fire dept. You can tell him I referred you to him. Next time I get to Montan, maybe we can get together and drop a fly on the water?
