About Me:

I've been with the fire service most of my life I took afew years off and have been back now 8 years. the dept. I am with now is a very proffessional but volunteer dept. we answere all types of calls hazmat/ extrication,water rescue and low anglerescue and confined space, fire. I have taken every coarse that I could since 1974 and still try to take at least1 a year.

Top Issues Facing Responders:

over protection = firefighters going in too deep encapselated in too much protective clothing and not being able to use your own senses to warn you. we are using the same 45 min pack I stated with while wearing a steel helmet and a rubber coat ,you new when you were in too deep or when it was getting hot enough to flash.
