I have always had it in me to serve, the military didn't happen due to too many things going on when I was younger. Then by chance this oppertunity presented to me and I jumped on it. I had to stare down my (then) chief while repeating "I want to do this" until he broke down turned a blind eye to the fact I had lived in town for about 21 of the 365 days I should of and gave me a shot.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
My father is a doctor and he has always quietly projected a certain sense of "I did well today" helping others when in need. I share that vibe as well, and when I come home exhausted and stink, coverved in overhaul grime and over all just spent I still feel really good inside and out.
