Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I became a part of the emergency services because I wanted to make a difference. I was hurt in an accident and the first responders and the Ambulance crew was so frazzeled and busy that they were not very friendly to me...I understood that they had a job to do, but I remember being VERY scared and them not helping to calm me down. I wanted to be the one the scene that could have calmed me down or at least told me what they were doing to me so that I would not have been as scared. I promised God that if I survived I would go to school and become one of those people. I am slowly getting there.

Why I Love Fire/EMS

knowing that someway, somehow, today I helped someone!
