I joined Defender (Sta. 70) 2 years ago. I am cert. to the exterior level for now. (At least until the interior class rolls around again.) I'm also a state certified BVRT. I'm a trustee at the fire hall. And.... I can't think of anything else at the moment so if you wanna know just ask..

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
Basically I grew up around it. Lived 1/2 block away from the town FD. I saw my friends parents involved in it. As I grew up some of my closest friends were firefighters. I got interested in it from talking to them.. and one day found my self a part of the crazy emergency services.

Being able to help someone in their time of need...

These entry level positions require no previous experience. Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school. A GED is acceptable.
