About Me:

I joined the FD in 4/96 as a junior member. Became probationary 3/98 for 1 yr. Graduated FF1 6/99 (1 class per year). Was Vice Pres of FD in 2002. Moved to the line office in 2003 as 2nd Lt. Moved to 1st Lt. 2005. Currently hold position of Captain. I've recieved Medal Of Valor in 2006 for attempting a rescue of an elderly victim that was trapped in her bedroom during a "working fire". I entered the residence w/o SCBA or hoseline. I joined EMS 12/04. I was vice pres there also for 1 1/2 yrs. I am currently a driver/1st responder. I've thought about getting my EMT but just don't have the time right now!!! Story of my life!!!!!!!!

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I guess the usual.....it's in my blood!! I am a 3rd generation F/F. I pretty much grew up @ the building and told myself that I would do what I saw my grandfather & father doing. Getting on that big red truck & helping people. I am also on the volunteer EMS for the same reasons. I like to help others.

Why I Love Fire/EMS

Being able to help the people of my community.
