About Me:: Started my fire service work in 1972 at the age of 18 in the Warwick Fire Dept. Worked my way up the ranks to Capt. of an Engine and Rescue Co. Left NY in 1989 and moved to SC where I was hired by the Florence FD after a short stint as an ARFF at the Florence Airport. Started as a tailboard FF and was promoted to Driver. In 2001 I was promoted to Fire Inspector. In 2005 I was named Acting Fire Marshal and on Sept. 1, 2007 I was promoted to Fire Marshal.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS: I am a 4th generation firefighter. I grew up in and around fire stations.
