About Me:
I am 18 years of age. I will be 19 August 27. I have a younger brother, love kids, helping others, and mentoring younger kids in my neighborhood as their is a lot of bad things they can get into. I lived on my own once, but that didn't work out, so now I live with my mom again. We have lived in Crownsville for 12 years. I have a boyfriend of a yr and half and we are very happy.

As far as my EMS is concerned I have been certified in CPR and AED for adult, child, and infant for about 5 years. I entered the fire department in January 2007. I was in class from the end of Jan07 until May07. I did my ride-alongs at the end of April into May. I took my final in June and passed the trauma and CPR/airway by myself without a partner. The medical I had to retest on. I am very proud of myself for completing the two hardest portion of the test on my own. It helps to have a good and reliable partner which I did not have.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I think that I actually choose to go into EMS for the wrong reasons. I orignially went into the fire department because I wanted to save others the pain of losing someone like I did. I lost my best friend Catherine in a car accident. I regreting a lot of things with mine and her friendship. However once, I got into the schooling and puting on the uniform and actually go and helping others I loved and I knew that it was my calling and what I was supposed to do for the rest of my life.
