The Hero Syndrome. which in my opinion are the people who join fire departments for status and just to say "im a firefighter" when really and truly they just do it to make their selves look good and not for the betterment of themselves or their community

    Actually I'm only on two now. I downgraded lol. What kind of calls have ya'll had? We had a schoolbus rollover a little while back. That's the worst one we've had for a while

    Thanks AJ. Yes, the fires were close enough to me. There's a photo in my albums showing the one I went to on the first day - it was about ten minutes drive in the pumper. The worst fires were all fairly close to the suburbs of Melbourne. If the wind had stayed in the north the fires could well have spotted into the suburbs.
