Started in a combination system..loved it. Now I am part of a 100% volunteer county. It certainly is different & has it's challenges. I'm glad to have started in a combi department....I miss it.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I can give the "politically correct" answer.."I want to help my community". The truth? It's a family thing; two older brothers were involved prior to my joining & I've loved it ever since. So I suppose in a way, sure, somehow I get a kick of still helping people.
