Why I Joined Fire/EMS
It's a family thing. Joined the fire department as a Junior Firefighter at age 14 and grew up in it. Spent a few years down in wonderful Salisbury, North Carolina working for the city fire department.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
being able to help someone in need.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
Firefighter safety! I think that we firefighters often disregard our own safety to provide safety for others and most of the time it does not have to be that way.

    I'm the Division Chief for Landis FD now. The county gig didn't work out so well, never give a politician an ultimatum. The Mill fire was pretty bad. So decisions are still being questioned, but unfortunately that's how we learn most of the time. Still married to the same chick?
