Hey Brian, you can go on Fema's web site and that is where you can apply for a homeland security grant. That is what we have done for 3 years in a row. We got 175,00 for a rescue truck, 12,000 for a cascade system and 7,000 for gear and equipment. There are rules and time lines with it. I will get with my chief and get you more info, he is the one that wrote our last 2. You have to pour it on about what you need and why and what it would do to better your community and company. We have had great sucess with it! Good luck, I will get you more!

I have never seen any examples. When we first did one we were turned down, so the next year we poured it on! Make sure the grant says things about how this would better your community, how it would help save lives and protect property. How your area is rural or small and deserves the same help as large cities. How the vehicle would help you to do things better, etc... When we figured that out, we have gotten every one for the last few years. We basically use the same lines and change it around each time we do it! So far so good and GOOD LUCK!!!
