About Me:: I am 32 yrs old and married to a volunteer firefighter. We have three wonderful kids together. I joined the Strang Fire Dept. in May of 2003 as a temporary secretary but in the following December the membership voted me in as a permanent board member. I served a three year term and was recently revoted in for another three yrs. In December 2008 they combined my office to secretary/treasurer. In October 2005, I was voted an Honorary member of the Strang Firefighters' Association. In Januray of 2006, I was voted in as scretary of the Strang Firefighters' Association. I have supported my husband for eleven yrs. in the fire dept. I am a proud member of the Strang Fire Department.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS: I joined the fire dept. because I wanted to share an interest with my huband and friends. I have served on the board of directors for 6 years as secretary. I am now secretary/treasurer they just combined my office in December of 2008. I also make sure the is plenty of water at a scene for the firemen and assist in getting other things from the fire dept to take to the scene.
Why I Love Fire/EMS: I love the feeling of helping people.
Top Issues Facing Responders:: Traffic will not yeild to an emergency vehicle.
RP's are not giving 911 the correct directions.
