I originally decided to become an EMT because I was Pre-Med, and I thought it would be good to learn a few things about healthcare before going to college. Now my plans have changed and I'm not Pre-Med anymore, but I've stuck with it because I really enjoy the friends I've made in EMS and helping the rare patient that's actually having an emergency.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
the camraderie with my coworkers and the rare calls where I can actually save a life.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
frequent fliers that abuse the system, a lack of respect from the community, and unprofessional EMT's and FF's that make the rest of us look bad.
