Hey Bill,
I heard about it via an email from FirefighterCloseCalls.com.
It's a 2-day symposium being held at "The Rock". All lecture, but covering about 12 different topics and delivered by various FDNY Batt Chiefs and Ops Chiefs.
Not sure about availability, but if you call the number on the registration site, they're very helpful.

Thanks for the additional Bill. I was a Firefighter for only a couple of years when the GCFD fire happened. I feel the same way - Watching it truly reinforces why it's important to train not only on preventing these types of situations, but how to act/react if they ever occur. When you have someone that was actually there, it legitimizes and drives the point home even that much more.
My Dad lost two of his friends and fellow Firefighters at a job he was in charge of back in 1981. It hit him and everyone involved hard. As young as I was I will never forget that and to this day it's one of the reasons why I'm such a believer in Firefighter Rescue/Survival and Rapid Intervention training.
