Why I Joined Fire/EMS: I am currently a student at MVCC as a paramedic major. I am double majoring in the spring in Human Services. Hopefully then I am moving somewhere out of NY state.
Why I Love Fire/EMS: the adrenalene rush. I love knowing that I was able to save a life.
Top Issues Facing Responders:: All of the legal issues we need to face. There are so many things that can go wrong in seconds- we need to take special care to watch every move we make. Also, the amount of volunteer serivces needed. Many services around my area are closing due to lack of interest/sponsorship. This is very unfortunate.
