About Me:: I spent 2 years with the City EMS service which only ran 911 service, in 2003 I was voted on as a member of a local volunteer fire department. In 2004 I was hired as a FF/EMT-Basic with a paid department.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS: I ahve always been interested in the Public Safety Field. So the city was putting on a EMT-Basic class, and I decided to take the class and I have enjoyed every since.
Top Issues Facing Responders:: In my opinion, it is the lack of training on the proper methods involved in calling a "MAYDAY", and the establishing a "RIT" team. The other is a very rare or undesireable training issue involving entanglement issues.
