Why I Joined Fire/EMS

Ineeded a major to qualify for G.I. Benefits. However, it didn't take long to be "bitten" by the need serve my community bug.

Why I Love Fire/EMS

I would love to be back in the service because like Marines, "once a F/F always a F/F"

Top Issues Facing Responders:

Even with the major improvments in protective equipment training styles and fireground command procedures since I entered the service we still seem to lose too many brothers and sisters in LOD deaths. As usual, too many communities seem to believe that there is net savings by cutting back the number of responders to save a couple of bucks.
