About Me:
I'm pretty well your normal 23 year old guy. I love hanging out with friends, watching movies, listening to music. Laughing and living pretty much. I love being outside wandering the woods in the area, fishing and such. I may not be good at any of it, but I can honestly say that I enjoy it. I also enjoy long walks on the beach, sleeping under the moonlight, The only thing that takes priority over firefighting is my son, he's the inspiration for to finally take the plunge and actually make it happen. The next best thing after him and firefighting in my opinion is snowboarding, and while I am really really not good at it, its probably the most relaxing thing I've found thus far. So if anyone plans to hit up Cascade Mountain, Devil's Head, or Christmas Mountain (they're the local hills, of course) drop me a line and I will come show you what those cartoon snowballs look like in real life =)

The only thing I enjoy more than being a fire fighter is spending

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
Give back to the community and have fun doing it. Its a little boys dream and in some ways I never grew up. It's a public service job that doesn't have a negative side, because people love to hate cops. Not only that, but we have some of the biggest, baddest, and best "toys" Simply put, it is a dream thats come true.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
It's a chance to help somone through their worst day, and it is a great way to make ammends for all the hell I raised in my youth
Top Issues Facing Responders:
Lack of knowledge on behalf of the public in regards to safety and budgeting needs, adapting to the ever changing times- new building materials, new dangers, as well as issues that still proliferate the field such as sexual harassment and other prejudices.

Though around my area... the current issue is not having things to respond to (Though technically that is a good thing)
