- I was 18 years old, when I reported to the Thirtymile fire, my third and last fire. I was very known in the community and on my campus as a writer, public speaker, singer, muscian, athlete and female weight lifter.

- "I had a desire to use my strength and speed to be a good firefighter, and possibly save lives at times."
- Why I Love Fire/EMS
- Although I was told by my coaches I could train and succeed in the Olympics, I would rather use my strength and speed to save lives.
