My Training:: Finishing my Level 1 Firefighter training. Our Dept. handles a variety of calls from Airport Crash, Wildland, Ice/Water Rescue and MVA's which keep us busy. We currently have 24 Paid on call members with a Full-time Chief & Deputy.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS: I had followed the local FD taking pictures of some of their training and was impressed at the high level of training maneuvers that they had to do for their work. I was drawn to the challenge and the rest, as they say, is history.
Why I Love Fire/EMS: It's given me a challenge and the ability to give back to my community. It's rewarding on so many levels.
Top Issues Facing Responders:: For our Department, the biggest roadblock is the turnover in members and the ability to draw members to the service.
