LTVFD & Greenville FD rescued my grandson on June 25th, 2006 after a near fatal MVA. Thanks to their dedication and training ( as well as the EMS, Stat Care and Surgeons, Doctors and Nurses at Kosair Childrens Hospital, my Grandson is alive and well!
I adopted these young men and women, they let me do them a website ( www.ltvfd.org ) and after a year and a half Chief Jeremy Klein asked if I wanted to join the Fire Dept since I was down there all the time. I asked if he really wanted to be doing CPR on this old man as I was 50 at the time. He replied that he did not think that would be the case...that I could do it.
Well, he was right...and I LOVE IT!!!!!
Wish that I had thought about being a Firefighter at a much younger age...so I have to pack a lot into a little bit of time...not getting any younger you know.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
We are always helping our neighbors in their times of trouble
Top Issues Facing Responders:
Training, Training, Training !!!!!
Train as if your life depends on it...because it does!!!
Buckle Up before you pack up!!
Cops that turn into Barney Fife on - scene and make things worse for everyone...us, them, victims, and the general public...(luckily they are the minority...most are aware and professional)
