Why I Joined Fire/EMS
My grandpa was a firefighter for the department I am currently on and so were my 2 uncles and one cousin.I also have many friends that are on this department.My cousin is also a battalion chief for Kannapolis FD and my uncle was a firefighter for Concord FD.All of these people had an influence on me to join the fire service.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
Without a doubt it's helping the helpless.We put our lives on the line everyday without thinking about it.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
People that degrade us and think poorly of us and put us in a certain stereotype and they don't respect us for doing what we do.Around here teachers get paid more than paid guys do.
