I received my EMT-B/D license in June of 2006 in Illinois after passing the NREMT. I currently serve as a Basic Life Support Specialist with IMERT (Illinois Medical Emergency Response Team) as well as being on the medical support teams for IL Task Force 1 (USAR) and the Illinois Terrorism Task Force. I am currently working on my Master's degree in Disaster and Emergency Management at the American Military University, where I am also pursuing graduate level certificates in Homeland Security, Counter-Terrorism and Logistics/Intelligence.
Relationship Status:
Single
Why I Love Fire/EMS
Helping others in distress
Top Issues Facing Responders:
Lack of cohesiveness and professionalism as well as the hit and miss approach to EMS education. I am very involved in working toward a national EMS curriculum with protocols to be identical in all 50 states.
