Why I Joined Fire/EMS: I had this real interest at a young age in the occupation of firefighting. As soon as I was old enough (14) to join as a cadet I did. I include the cadet time as part of my overall years in the fire service bacause it was productive training and participation inspite to youth.
Why I Love Fire/EMS: It offers so many challenges and opportunities. We are never able to solve a problem before at least three more develop. Our people are just fabulous. Where else can you arrive to shear horror and chaos and put together a whole organization to manage the mess and conclude (not until) when control is achieved.
