Matt, Sorry for my delay in getting back to you. As Keith said, DR COG will get you on a list of several departments so that is a place to start. Englewood Fire has an open application process, where we take applications year round and when we need people we pull from the list and start the hiring process. Right now I don't think we have any openings coming up, but you never know. As for other deparments it hard to say, it has been 18 years since I have had to look for a fire job. Check out Parker Fire (which just combined with South Metro Fire, and I dont know whey that call themselves now), West Metro Fire, Union Colony (Greely), Ft. Collins, Grand Jct, Littleton, Cunningham, Denver. There are a lot of places but the competition is steep, but experience generally helps. I will try and keep my ears open and see if anyone is talking about hiring. Good luck and Be Safe. Weave
The Colorado Springs Fire Department is about to embark on a hiring, we are presently in process of bringing on 20 and will need about 10 more for the next academy. We use www.fireteamtest.com for our entry level testing. As for Denver, there is a DRCOG which is the area fire departments collective testing group, http://www.drcog.org/index.cfm?page=FIRE Good luck. Keith
