About Me:
I've been fortunate to promote through the ranks over the last 26 years. I currently hold the positon of THE B SHIFT Division Chief. I oversee Operations, Emergency Management and Communications. I ascribe to the essence of Pride and Ownership and that we cannot allow the Fire Service to be less than those who went before us made it what it is.
Day Job:
Fireman - 24/7/365
Relationship Status:
Married
Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I'm a third generation fireman. My father always told me the biggest mistake he ever made later in his career was to become a cop. He always told me to be a fireman because people wave with all five fingers.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
Pride, Duty and Honor
Top Issues Facing Responders:
Preserving tradition while embracing the challenges of the future. These challenges include health and safety, basic KSA's, communications and public image. We cannot accept the view of some that the fire service is an expensive insurance policy. We have to continuously reinvent the fire service while holding fast to the traditions from which it was built.
