Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I ran across a stressfull and heartbreaking incident one day coming home from work. I walked into my grandmothers home and found my mother working on my grandfather doing cpr. I had no clue what to do.... I swore right then and there that I would never be placed in another situation where I did not have an idea of how to help someone in need or to assist in saving a life.
And 22 years later, am still going strong, and will die doing what I love to do, help those in need when other people turn there head and run.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
I enjoy helping those in need when all others fail to be able to help.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
Volunteers are and will always will be faced with the money factor, and the daily struggle to maintain volunteers. Volunteer Firefighters are slowly fading away, and to maintain a well staffed volunteer agency, funding is needed to pay these few people some type of stipend pay.
How are ya, I met you in Cynthiana Ky when they were holding testing last june of 08 for a position that was open. Hope you and Grant Co are hanging in there. Beck
