I'm in the 90 band for the '06 Columbus FD Test. What this means, I'm not exactly sure. I have turned in my background info and am waiting to hear back from the background department. I have heard that 2 1/2 years is a pretty good estimate of the tme t could take. I am looking to apply at a few other departments around town, but I'm struggling with paying for my medics if Columbus is just going to retrain me. I am also looking to apply with the Columbus Auxilary to volunteer until I am hopefully invited to train for a full time spot.
Day Job:
Work in construction during the day and at a bar at night
I'm not actually in the field yet, but I am pretty far into the hiring process with Columbus FD. I feel that my calming effect on people makes me a good candidate to help people in distress. And it is a profession for which I have so much respect.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
