I am just a little Irish/American girl doing her thing in the Medical field and soon hopefully as a VFF...I do coding and deciphering of surgery for five surgeons-my specialty is actually pulmonary medicine-If I am accepted as VFF will be with the Lexington Fire Service in my hometown...I have a big heart in a world that may trample it-but I keep on going...guess that's the Irish fire in me-thats a Fire you can't put out...am a friend to all or try to be...can't have too many of those now can you?....

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I understand it...I am in the medical field and get the adrenaline factor...I also have many friends that are FF's and relate to it...My best friend-boyfriend, soul mate and most important person in my life is in ladder company 14 here...needless to say the lifestyle does get into your blood-especially if you "get it" and being Irish helps-lots of history between fire and Irish-lol...get the concept...My brother also use to be state fire marshall many years ago in SC...Medical is not so far apart in the lifestyle and thinking...Hoping to be a VFF soon as I've handed in my app for it...we'll see...
