I'm a Career Fire Captain working at a four man Station on an Engine Company. My house is fairly slow, which I like, and it is brand new.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I lost my job and thought about what I might like to do. Fire Department and Police Department work came to mind. Luckily for me the first "interest card" I got back was for a Fire Department. I might have been a Cop if I got one back from a Police Department.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
It pays the bills, but even better is the Friends I've made over the years.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
The influx of so many newbies and the possible reduction of forces due to the weakening economy.
