About Me:
In Jan 09 I will be starting the EMT-B class so I can voulnteer at my local Fire Station. It will take me about 4 months and then after I finish I will take the Firefighter 1 class.

I look foward to a new adventure in my life. My dad and husband are 110 percent behind my decision and very pround that I have chosen to follow a dream that I have wanted to do for a very long time.

I am the grand daughter, daughter and sister of fire fighters. My dad and brother taught me about giving 110% of yourself without expecting anything back.
I grew up in the Lawrence Park Fire Dept and would not trade a day of my life for that experience. The Lawrence Park Volunteer Fire Dept and Erie Fire Dept lost a brother Mike Crotty last week and how the community reached out and gave back makes me proud to be a member of that family. When we go back to visit my kids always ask to go to the fire hall. They guys love it they show them around and let them sit in the trucks, and we share memories of growing up here. My 13 year old son told me that he wants to carry on the family tradition and be a firefighter when he gets older said he has wanted to be one since he was 7 years old, that was his first trip to the Fire station I grew up in. It's in his blood. There is a feeling of being home when I walk through the doors of any fire station.
