Why I Joined Fire/EMS: My sister heard about LAFD looking for women to train to hire for the Fire Dept., prior to Affirmative Action forcing their hand. I liked the idea of getting paid to work out, and I have always been kind of a tomboy, and involved in sports and not afraid to get my hands dirty, so I thought I would give it a shot!
Why I Love Fire/EMS: Good pay and the chance to work a flexible schedule so I can be home with my son, and get a chance to be of service to people in need
