Hey Glen, when you gonna get some pics of the boats? things ahve actually been moving forward with the 26'r training has been daily during the week and middle of MAy on nite operations... WE have a 2 engine house ( used to be 2 and 1 but hacked away... the truck in '95 anyway we rotate who goes out and who stays and deals with the defication of humanity...lol anyway, Engine 3 is primary and 4's is secondary to the boat, and 4's is primary to haz mat decon and use of our Federally funded Decon trailer and of course 3's is cross trained, we relocate throughout the city covering each other company for anything maintainace, physicals, training,p'n in the bottle and when someone gets called downtown for anything we cover the district, SO Boat training like this evening is golden, 7 pm until 10 criuising the harbor and Long island sound, it was 68 degrees calm as glass and just beautiful... :) we'll see how long it lasts.. the Chief is fighting everything but finally we were able get a spare resusitator and Defib... biggest problem is getting enough time training and operating the thing ...anyway stay in touch ..Jim

Hey Glen, yeah Kinda hard to send Pictures if You dont have it..lol, for sure lol I'm Off beginningthe 28th this month till the 2nd week In July, If I thought It'd be around I'd think about taking a ride...up to see it.. Maybe later in the year... As I mentioned we've been doing nite ops,The guy doing the training is getting no support from administration, They havelike a couple guys whoare actually experianced with a captains LIc so one issue is getting any quality hands on time is tough, realisticly, While teaching navigation as well as actual skills... It seems as though, They mauighthave screwed up with grants for expansion.improvement to a specific area for dockage.. much less gettingthe dep and Corps of engineers approval its ajacent to Harbor Master and Police services as well as the Port Jeff NY Ferry pier... Rumor has a another potential story BUt I'll Mail that since Its a bit sensitive...and Interesting.. Yeah New England FA is in North Haven Google says its 18 miles from My house But The shorter way is closer to 13 or 14 On the parkway.. Having Recieved The two newest engines in 07 and the first "real" boat.. I know how you feel kinda like the Hienz ketchup commercials...LOL Anticipation,...
