I was a paid driver/EMT with SOVAC ambulance in Central Square, NY for two years but had to quit as I was working my full time job & part-time job & just did not have enough time to keep that 2nd part time job.

My Training:

EMT class plus continuing education & half of a medic class that I was unable to complete due to personal family events.

About Me:

I am 56 years old & have been a CFR for one year & EMT for eight years.I have a 25 year old son who is a paramedic and a 22 year old daughter who is an EMT & wants to go for paramedic. I have been married to my best friend for 34 years & he is retired from the U.S. Air Force after 24 1/2 years in law enforcement. He is now a civilian working full time. I work as a collector at a major hospital & have been there for 7 1/2 years. We have one grandson and one granddaughter and a daughter-in-law.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I wanted to help the members of my community and I lovr EMS work. I have a shirt that says "EMT - The hardest job you will ever love" and that is so true!
