I started as a Junior Firefighter in 1978 and have loved doing the job ever since.

The top issues facing volunteer members is the laziness of members who refuse to understand that times change and you must update your training and response to alarms accordingly and train to handle the various types of emergencies.

    Welcome to the FF Nation! My Great grandfather Patrick O'Brien was one of 12 children when they settled in Brooklyn in the early 1900's from Ireland. He later owned a construction company that built many churches and firehouses in NY City. Enjoy the nation, it has a lot to offer. Stay Safe. Pete
