About Me:
I am a dedicated public safety professional with over 30 years of experience in the fire service, beginning my career in 1991. Currently serving as the Fire Chief and Emergency Management Director for Ellsworth, Maine, I focus on regional collaboration and advancing EMS education. I am currently leading a regional pilot study on the use of Blind Insertion Airway Devices (BIAD) and the development of a regional EMS training center.
Outside of my primary role, I am an active volunteer and a two-time recipient of the Bronze Presidential Volunteer Award (2024, 2025). I am passionate about adaptive leadership and professional development. Personally, I have been married to my wife, June, for 15 years, and I enjoy exploring the natural beauty of Maine through outdoor leisure activities.
