Why I Joined Fire/EMS

Waking up at 3am to an annoying loud noise, I'd see/hear my father run out of the house and drive away. I was young and confused as to why he would leave like that. When I was finally old enough to understand what was going on, I realized that he was being called away to save lives. I had always been interested in following in his footsteps. My brother joined as soon as he turned 18, then my father became Lt and I decided that it was my turn. I have loved every minute of it!!
