I started riding tailboards in 1975 with a county
based fire dept. I became a Paid EMT-P with AMS
in Oct 1986 and joined RCFD in 1990 and have served continuously. As of November 15th 2010, I will be a Full time Training Officer employed by Randall County Fire Dept and be prn at AMS

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I initially wanted to go into law enforcement, but a neighbor who was a police officer talked me into looking at either the fire service or EMS and the television show Emergency helped play a significant role in shaping my future

    Thanks Bill, I was on the old Randall this last year until march i think. My application got retabled because what i was told was that i did not make enough training and noone on the "membership" did not know me while going to a college academy 6 nights a week and still make as many calls as i could. Im not real sure if we ever met. I was at this last years kiss the baby and the dept christmas party. I made it through my rookie time and got a pager.

    I love AFD so far, its been pretty good just slow. Im at station 6 and wev been slow, one or two calls a day. Howd the Randall meeting go?

    hey Bill.. Sorry i havent been on in a while.. anyway.. so how are things at RCFD... Things are good here in pampa. Making calls loving life..! I had an Interview with AFD in early March and im hoping they will hire me this summer. I thought about to back to RCFD for extra training and CE's. Do they still train there like we used to. Ive been gone for 1yr. and 6mths. Well Jay Alejandre used to be my room mate here in pampa. We got hired together back in oct. 2007.. WEll be safe and ttul.. im enjoying the RAIN..!
