Cindy, Welcome to the Firefighter Nation. I am glad you joined the group. There is lots to do, read and be involved with. Your participation and involvement is important to us all. Have fun.
If that is you jumping out of the plane i give you a bigtip of the hat.Your braver than me,i prefer the ground myself. The closest i came to being around plane's was when i was in the navy working on the flight deck of an aircraft carrier. The other picture's were nice to.
I was a green shirt. On the nice day's itwas okay but the rainy snotty day's,not so much.My job was in the rcovery portion of the aircraft.By the way, you'll have to excuse the long delay in response.I have 2 teenage daughter's with facebook,i'm lucky to get the computer once a week.
I liked all the caracter's.I also liked that it didn't make the set glossy, the used dungy look was different. My other fav was ,of course, emergency.that show helped me decide to join the junior program, and thirty year's later i'm still here.
The ironic thing was that i was going to join the air force instead at first.I'ts also kind of funny that i'm on a ship in the middle of the ocean and can't swim,i guess that's why they made life vest's.I'ts been kind of busy on the fire side.We had a controled burn of a barn, mutual aid to a house fire and a tractor trailer roll over. The fire was kind of like prom night, the engine operator ran his first call and my partner got his first roof vent and interior job,2 virgin's in 1 night.
The boy is cody,my 4 year old son.He love's fire truck's so much that when my pager goes off he go's to the window to watch the truck's go by.But if we go the other way he get's upset. And every time he passes a fire sta. or see's f/f he ask's if they are my friend's.You may download any photo you want.
Hey Cindy: How great to meet you. You live right in my neighborhood. Welcome to FFN. I look forward to hearing all your stories. Stay in touch. See you around the pages. Stay safe. Heather
Hi Cindy, thanx for joining up with the Fireman's Tavern. as you know this pub is a place for all to socialise and and reminisce about the good old times in the department. lots of stories are told and we are thinking of publishing them on FFN. Think it will be fun, let yo know!
Hi Cindy! Thanks for the nice comment. Our marriage was all about the FD that day... My wife is a firefighter's daughter, that's how we met. About half an hour before that picture was taken, a call came in... so half the dept. was gone... She didn't let me, haha. Take care, looking forward to get to know you.

cindy, thanks for the add but a bad move on your part because now your gonna have to write once in awhile to help me remember who you are :-D ,,,, tell about anything, life, the man, the job, kids grand or otherwise, even a good joke ,,,, nothing like exchanging e-mails with friends when it's slow here at the station or at home when i'm chill-in ,,,,
but now i'm gonna tell you the same thing i tell all newcomers ,,,, the sites fun & does have interesting blog discussions ,,,, i like reading & seeing how other departments do the same thing but also like looking at different styled apparatus's used all over the world ,,,, i'm a crash firefighter and we have some of the weirdest looking out there ,,,, look at my pics to see some past and present day pieces ,,,,
be careful if you like to trade patches ,,,, there are a few people here that just want to get one then not send one back ,,,, i won't mail anything now till i have something in hand ,,,, my goal now is not to get a patch from you i do not collect them ,,,, (but i will trade duty tee-shirts from far away countries and that's how i got "BURNED", i sent the sleaze a tee-shirt & 3 patches and got nothing back ...) i'm just watch-n your back, something most of us on the job understand, it's a big part of what the brotherhood and the family is all about ,,,, if you wanna add me as a friend, great ,,,, if not, that too is OK because this message is intended to mostly welcome, but also warn you ,,,, like in the fire service, not all things are as they appear ,,,, work hard, play hard and train even harder ,,,,
what we do makes a difference, be safe, god bless and smile a lot and every day, it will piss someone off ,,,,
lucky
